Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of LiftedLesson, a service provided by LiftedLesson ("LiftedLesson", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms.

LiftedLesson is a platform for teachers and instructional staff to convert legacy lesson materials into modern interactive lessons, generate lessons with AI, share templates with the community, and collaborate with peers.

You must provide accurate information, keep your credentials confidential, and be old enough to enter a binding contract in your jurisdiction. You're responsible for activity under your account. If you create an account on behalf of an organization, you confirm you have authority to bind it.

You agree not to: (a) use the service unlawfully; (b) submit material you don't own or have rights to; (c) use the service to harass, defraud, or spam; (d) attempt to interfere with security (probing, scraping, malware); (e) reverse engineer, resell, or redistribute the service or its outputs in violation of these Terms.

The lesson generator may produce inaccurate or incomplete information. You are responsible for reviewing AI outputs before using them in a classroom and for ensuring you have rights to any content you provide as input. We may filter, refuse, or remove generated outputs that violate these Terms or our policies. Repeated infringement claims may result in account termination.

You retain ownership of content you upload. You grant LiftedLesson a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, and process your content solely to provide and improve the service. Marketplace templates you publish may be remixed by other users in accordance with the marketplace terms.

LiftedLesson retains all rights in the platform itself, including software, branding, and documentation. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service within your selected plan.

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, tax, cancellations, and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms.

Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You may cancel anytime via your account or via paddle.net.

The service is provided "as is". We don't guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability is capped at the fees you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim. We aren't liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by negligence.

You agree to indemnify LiftedLesson for claims arising from your content, your use of the service in violation of these Terms, or your unlawful conduct.

We may suspend or terminate your access for: material breach, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated/serious policy violations. On termination, you may export your content for a reasonable window before deletion.

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-product notice with at least 14 days' notice where possible. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Delaware, except where prohibited by mandatory law.
